Adlestrop is an archetypal Cotswold village built in the famous mellow stone, with its' cottage gardens and quiet beauty and quite possibly most famous for its literary connections.

Unwontedly. It was late June
Adlestrop is set in the Evenlode valley this pretty village close to the Oxfordshire border has been immortalised in poetry by Edward Thomas in 1914. Unfortunately he never got the opportunity to come back to visit his beloved Adlestrop, he died in battle in 1917.
