Guiting Power & Temple Guiting
Listed in the Domesday Book, Guiting Power could indeed seem to have been crafted from the landscape in which it is set. Set on a tributary of the River Windrush, this idyllic Cotswolds village epitomises Cotswold country life.
Its' near neighbour, Temple Guiting, obtained the 'Temple' prefix in the12th century under the ownership of the manor by the Knights Templar and to distinguish this village from its near neighbour.
This is excellent walking country!

Temple Guiting
Withit's connection to the Knights and still home to a Templar Church, this tiny village is steeped in history. Once a key meeting place for Kinghts as they travelled from west to east to join fellow Knights to travel to the Holy Land to fight in the Crusades.
