Bourton-on-the-Water
A genuinely pretty village with the River Windrush running stratight through its' main street, with exceptional small stone bridges giving regular crossing points, known locally as 'The Venice of theCotswolds'.
A truly historic village, many of the cottages and house are at least 300 years old, with some dating back to Elizabethan times. Bourton-on-the-Water is another casualty of the decline in the woollen industry. Despite this Bourton-on-the-Water is a popular and regular stopping point for tourists from both near and far.
